STOCKS FOCUS: CARPHONE WAREHOUSE
0 Comments | Sunday Herald, The, Dec 14, 2008
CARPHONE Warehouse hit the headlines when co-founder David Ross resigned as its co-chairman, and then later quit as chairman of transport group National Express over his use of personal share holdings to borrow millions of pounds. A member of the family that started the Grimsby-based Ross frozen fish brand, Ross also gave up his post on the 2012 Olympics organising committee. Ross, who helped chief executive Charles Dunstone set up the mobile phone business, broke stock exchange rules by failing to notify directors about his actions.
