Sir: How poignant that The Independent of 1 May portrayed both the best and worst aspects of Zimbabwe race relations. The hate on the front page ("Mugabe set to seize farms") and the hope on the sports page ("Zimbabwe's 16-year-old wicketkeeper, Tatendu Taibu, looks on"). The young Tatendu Taibus of Zimbabwe deserve better from their geriatric political leaders.
