C&W director paid [pound]1.4m last year

> John Pluthero, the head of Cable & Wireless UK, received [pound]1.4m in remuneration last year compared to [pound]312,000 the year before. Harris Jones, the head of C&W's International operations, was paid [pound]1.7m, but did not receive a full bonus. The company's controversial long-term incentive schemes do not yet kick in, although with shares having doubled over the past year and most profit targets met, the executives have moved closer to multimillion-pound payouts.
