CHESTER CITY The club have appointed Simon Davies as manager on a two-year contract. Davies was initially given the job until the end of the campaign following the dismissal of Bobby Williamson. "I'm extremely pleased to be given the job," he said. "My first priority is to ensure our league status for next season."
--PETERBOROUGH UNITED Posh striker Aaron McLean has reiterated his commitment to the London Road club. "I'm a Peterborough player and as long as I am I will give everything to the cause," he said. "There's been speculation but all I can do is get on with my football."
--DARLINGTON The manager Dave Penney has revealed Fulham's interest in goalkeeper David Stockdale, although he insisted that "nothing can happen this season obviously".
--MORECAMBE Henry McStay has signed a two-year deal . "I have enjoyed my time here." he said. "I was hoping I'd be offered a new deal."
