Five-year fixed-rate mortgage: for this option, the interest rate is fixed at 6.49 per cent until 30 June 2013. Your monthly repayments would be 3,723.18 or, if you choose the interest-only option, 2,988.10. After the initial term, you will revert to the standard variable rate (SVR), which is currently 6.90 per cent.
