Shares across the Continent recorded their highest close since Jan-uary, cheered by a pick-up in risk appetite, a weakening euro and stronger than expected results at construction and technology firms. The tech sector was the best performer - Nokia, Ericsson, ASML gained around 4 per cent. Strong profits at French cement maker Lafarge lifted construction stocks.
