INM expands print works in N Ireland

*Independent News & Media, publisher of The Independent, is investing another 7.9m in its Newry print centre in Northern Ireland. Sir Anthony O'Reilly, the chief executive, unveiled the expansion yesterday at the US/Northern Ireland Investment Conference at Stormont, which was attended by Gordon Brown and the Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen. The site was opened a year ago at a cost of more than 20m. Sir Anthony called for more fiscal autonomy in Northern Ireland to attract investment by creating a "level playing field" on corporation tax with the Republic.
