*WASHINGTON The world's best-selling pop album and a disc sent hurtling into deep space are among recordings that the US Library of Congress will preserve for their cultural significance. The 25 selections added to the National Recording Registry for posterity yesterday included Michael Jackson's 1982 album Thriller and a recording of Earth sounds dispatched on the spacecraft Voyager in 1977.
