QC attacks court delays 'injustice'

*A senior barrister has complained of the "grave injustice" of serious criminal cases being repeatedly delayed because of congestion in the courts. Edward Brown QC told the Old Bailey that witnesses, relatives and defendants were "again and again and again" seeing cases put back due to administrative problems. Mr Brown, who also sits as a part-time judge, spoke out after two manslaughter cases were delayed.
