WPP strikes partnership with Yahoo

*WPP has struck an advertising partnership with the US internet giant Yahoo that will let WPP's advertising agencies buy ads on Yahoo's online ad exchange. Yahoo, which recently spurned a $47.5bnunsolicited takeover bid from Microsoft, said the deal would first involve WPP units GroupM and 24/7 Real Media. In a statement, the companies said that as part of the deal, WPP advertising agencies would, through its 24/7Real Media arm, develop aproprietary advertising media trading platform that takesadvantage of Yahoo's Right Media exchange.
