'Beasting' jurors visit barracks

*Jurors trying three soldiers for manslaughter visited the Army base where they allegedly "beasted" a colleague to death. Pte Gavin Williams, 22, of Hengoed, Caerphilly, died of heatstroke at Lucknow Barracks on Salisbury Plain after an exercise session to punish his breaches of discipline, Winchester Crown Court has heard. Provost Sgt Russell Price, 45, Sgt Paul Blake, 37, and Cpl John Edwards, 33, deny unlawfully killing Pte Williams in July 2006 by subjecting him to ill-treatment and physical abuse. The trial continues.
