*Water supplies contaminated with a parasite might not be safe for weeks, Anglian Water said last night. Customers have been told to boil tap water after cryptosporidium, a parasite which causes stomach upsets, was found in samples. The affected area, Northampton, Daventry and west of Daventry, has a population of around 250,000.
