The Hang Seng jumped 2.3 per cent in its big-gest rise in 13 weeks, on the back of strong gains in Chinese financials after positive earnings estimates from three banks. China Merchants Bank and China CITIC Bank joined the nation's biggest lender, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, in forecasting upbeat earnings. The Hang Seng closed up 489.24 at 21,913.06.
