Independent, The (London), Aug 21, 2008
World News IN BRIEF
*PARIS French channels have been banned from airing TV shows aimed at children under three years old by the broadcast authority. The High Audiovisual Council introduced the ban to avoid the developmental risks it says TV viewing poses at very young ages.
French parents have been warned that foreign channels, such as BabyFirstTV and Baby TV, aired by cable operators are "a danger".
