Syria MPs call for treason trial as ex-VP criticises Assad

Syria's parliament voted to put Abdel-Halim Khaddam, a former vice- president who now lives in Paris, on trial for treason. Mr Khaddam said President Bashar Assad had threatened Rafik Hariri, the ex-Lebanese prime minister killed in February.
