Letter: Donor dilemma

The loss of donor anonymity has forced potential sperm donors to consider long-term consequences ("Sperm crisis", 30 July). Many will realise that what may have seemed a help for infertile couples is actually a negation of the responsibility they owe to their own children. How will they justify their actions to the adult offspring who seek them out later, wanting a better sense of their confused identity?
