Slimming tycoon 'stole face cream'
1 Comment | Sunday Mirror, Apr 21, 1996 | by KIM SENGUPTA
The millionaire founder of Weightwatchers has been accused of taking cosmetics from a beauty salon used by Princess Anne.
Glamorous Bernice Weston faces the embarrassment of the court case coinciding with the launch of a much-hyped anti-wrinkle cream.
The Princess Royal was a regular visitor at the upmarket salon in London's Westminster.
American-born mother of three Ms Weston, who has been charged with burglary, handling stolen property and theft, claims she was given the pounds 600-worth of creams and other beauty goods.
She will face magistrates on May 15.
She lived in the same flats as Princess Anne and around 50 MPs and wealthy businessmen. She counts Director of Public Prosecutions Barbara Mills as a friend.

Ms Weston bought the UK franchise of Weightwatchers for pounds 1,500 in 1967 and made a fortune when she sold it a decade later.
Her new product, Age Power, has a glittering array of celebrities lined up for promotion and Bernice has boasted that it will be "bigger than Weightwatchers".

RE: Slimming tycoon 'stole face cream'
It's tricky when you are choosing a cream for your face. You
want something that is gentle - the last thing you would
want is a red, blotchy face. You want something that
minimizes wrinkles. You want something that does NOT clog
your pores - it doesn't do much good if your face lotion turns
you into a hive of pimples. You want your skin to look young
looking, fresh looking, without being oily.
First off, I REALLY like the fact that the Made from Earth
"Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum" this is in a pump
design. So many face creams are in "pot" designs that were
used by the ancient Egyptians. Those designs were fine for
Egyptians, but in modern times they just don't work well.
Even if your hands are perfectly clean, once you put your
fingers into the pot and then onto your face, now you have
face oils and skin bits and such on your fingers.
The Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum has a nice, light
texture and absorbs in quickly. I use this primarily on my neck
area, as I want the "face lift" aspect there. Other areas of
my face (my forehead etc) are more in need of a very gentle
lotion that moisturizes. I highly recommend the Made from
Earth Firming serum for those healthy women looking to firm
their face and neck.
