Lord Of The Dance star Michael Flatley has a new fan - Bill Clinton.

The superstar dancer has been invited to a high-society Christmas party at the White House to meet the American President, wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea.

An insider said: "Hillary's cousin, Robin Joyce, extended the invitation after meeting Michael backstage - and written conformation was delivered last week."

Chicago-born Flatley, 38 - who is not expected to return to Ireland until next year - is currently playing to sell-out audiences in America.

He is expected to become the highest-paid dancer ever by picking up pounds 20 million from his show, promotions, merchandising and video releases.

Flatley, described as the sexiest traditional dancer in the world, has even moved his Lord Of The Dance spectacular into US arenas to meet ticket demand.

Sales have zoomed since his performance at the Oscars and he now dances before audiences of up to 20,000 people.

And there's even more to come. In the Autumn his dance sensation will visit Japan, Australia and the Far East.
