TV Watch: It's logos a-go-go

I RECKON there was some sneaky product placement going on in Ground Force (BBC1, Friday).

First Tommy turned up wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with Umbro, then they weighed down their plastic covers with 10 bottles of Evian.

Just in case the lingering camera work wasn't enough, Charlie and Tommy then played catch with one bottle.

Sadly, with Charlie's fondness for the unsupported look, I reckon Playtex are out of luck. Then again, Alan might just take his shirt off one day.

YOU just gotta love My Family (BBC1, Tuesday). It's not at all funny, but any show in which Daisy Donovan happily dresses up as a dental nurse deserves its peak-time slot. Eeh bah gums!

THOUGHT Live Talk was a strange title for a daytime phone-in show (ITV, daily). With a name like that it should be on late at night with an 0898 number.

At least then they might get some interesting callers.
