DCU award in memory of Uaneen

DUBLIN City University is to set up anaward in memory of television host Uaneen Fitzsimons.
RTE presenter Uaneen was tragically killed in a car crash on November 22.
Now her former university is to present an award to the most outstanding pupil each year in honour of Uaneen's talents.
The award will be designed by top Irish designer John Rocha and made by and Waterford Crystal for free.
Uaneen, who was originally from Ardglass in Co Down, studied Communications at DCU before going on to shine as one of Ireland's best-loved music broadcasters.
Tonight a host of Irish stars, who have given their time fro free, will perform at a tribute concert in Dublin which has been organised by some of Uaneen's close friends.

All the proceeds from the concert will go to charities chosen by Uaneen's family.
Highlights of the concert will also be broadcast live on 2FM.
This afternoon a memorial service will be held in the University Church on Dublin's St Stephen's Green.
