PREGNANCY is a very exciting time for expectant mums, but in terms of your wardrobe, it can be a nightmare.
But don't despair, because the days of wearing tent dresses and dungarees are gone.
Stars such as Reece Witherspoon, Kate Hudson and Lorraine Keane are proof that just because you are with child, that doesn't mean you can't be stylish too.
The problem is that you don't want to spend too much cash on clothes you aren't going to get to wear that often, unless you are planning a brood like the Waltons.
And obviously comfort is a very important, so you can only get away with baggy tracksuit bottoms for so long, particularly to work.
High Street stores like Benetton have great casual maternity wear to get you through your pregnancy in both comfort and style.
And Mothercare also have a great range of clothing whether you are snuggling up at home or glamming it up for a big night out.
Comfort is key with chunky wrap cardigans, babycord and denim skirts for up-to-the-minute casual looks.
For evening the fashion fabric is satin, to shine and shimmer through the party season.
Prices start at round EUR32 for tops and EUR60 for trousers.
And Blooming also have a fantastic range of both casual and formal wear that won't break the bank, but will keep you looking your best during pregnancy.
Their latest collection features sporty combats and cargo pants available in either denim, cotton or satin.
These are teamed with cotton tunic style long sleeve tops, the classic black turtleneck top or a cosy knit cardigan available in winter white or indigio blue.
And for nights out they have elegant wide leg pants and crossover tunics in light velour to create fluid lines and flattering silhouettes.
Soft lines and classic layering allow fabrics to fall easily, beautifully skimming the bump.
Prices for casual trousers start at EUR60, with tops costing EUR45.
But if the thought of finding an outfit to wear to the Christmas party or a wedding is filling you with dread, then don't worry.
Beautiful Shapes in a maternity hire shop in Dublin, specialising in designer labels for special occasions.
They carry everything from ball gowns, dresses, suits and co- ordinating separates, which are not only bang up to date and super stylish, but will only cost you a fraction of their original price.
And the concept has proved so successful, they have clients travelling from all over the country to check out their clothes.
Prices start at around EUR80 for an outfit, and they also have a great range of accessories to complete your look.
So, you don't have to compromise style just because of your bump..
