CAROLYN HIGH FIVE ..IN A BED

THE beautiful wife of tragic John F Kennedy Junior enjoyed a sizzling cocaine-fuelled five-in-a-bed romp shortly before the couple died in a plane crash, it was claimed last night.

Blonde heiress Carolyn Bessette Kennedy is said to have made her husband's last days a misery as she taunted him about her relationship with Baywatch hunk Michael Bergin and a married New York antique dealer.

But according to sensational claims made in an American magazine, the last straw occurred when John came home and found his wife in bed with four male pals.

"John found the men cuddling with his wife on a futon under a quilt in the spare room," a source tells Globe.

"He angrily yelled at Carolyn, 'You're a cokehead!' and she shot back, 'You're a fag!'

"Then she led her giggling friends in a derisive chant of 'Fag! Fag!' at her husband."

By the time the pair perished when his single-engined plane crashed into the ocean, John - the son of murdered president JFK - had conceded their marriage was already over.

The Globe magazine revelations back up the findings of Kennedy author Ed Klein who first exposed the couple's "road-crash relationship" in his bestselling book, The Kennedy Curse.

According to Klein the "fag" taunts were nothing unusual. Klein says another friend told him: "Carolyn had a trash-mouth. She used to call John a fag all the time."

Days after being caught in the compromising position, Carolyn apparently tried to explain away the incident by telling JFK Jnr: "They're all queer."

However, Kennedy was unconvinced and is said to have later discovered the men were actually bisexual.

His suspicions were also aroused when he found an itemised mobile phone bill which contained a number she had called dozens of times.

The number was for an antiques store run by a man who was the type Carolyn found attractive and JFK Junior later spotted his wife and the man slow dancing at a party.

The revelations come just weeks after Carolyn's other former lover, Baywatch hunk Michael Bergin announced he would be writing a tell-all book about their relationship.

Love rat Bergin - a former Calvin Klein model - will earn millions of dollars from the book entitled The Other Man, A Love Story: John Kennedy, Carolyn Bessette and Me.

In it he tells how he and Carolyn had "an intense love for each other".

Publicists for the book boast it will chronicle "an affair so intense that not even her marriage to an American prince could come between them".

Bergin, who played JD Dariius in Baywatch, plans to provide intimate details of the love triangle and his steamy relationship, which is said to have continued even after she ditched him in favour of JFK Jnr.

Bergin said: "Carolyn and I were inseparable for a couple of years.

"I know deep in my heart that she still loved me even after she married John Kennedy. Some things just don't end.

"We had a very intense love for each other. I get a little funny talking about her. She passed away and I had a very hard time dealing with it."

Recalling Carolyn as an emotional and jealous woman, he says: "There was one time when Carolyn saw me at a bar lighting a cigarette for an ex-girlfriend.

Carolyn came over, pushed the girl out of the way, got in my face and screamed and yelled at me. She even drew a little blood from my face.

"I went home and two minutes later, she was at my door. I had these tall, heavy religious candles - she threw one through the window, which shattered.

"Then she knocked my TV set and VCR on the floor, jumped on my VCR and squashed it."

"I know deep down that she still loved me."
