Fern Britton Column: He seems a Pitt silly

GOSSIPS would have us believe that Mr and Mrs Brad Pitt are having marriage difficulties.

In the latest edition of Vanity Fair he talks about how marriages should grow and when they stop growing it's time to move on. He added that he felt a mid-life crisis coming on.

Not the stuff a relatively new bride wants to hear from her drop- dead hunky husband. A husband who allegedly has been cosying up to his latest co-star on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith, the equally attractive Angelina Jolie. Apparently, the film electricians hardly needed to turn their generators on such was the electricity flowing between the two actors. Mrs Pitt was quick to get to the set as often as she could, but on one of the last days was apparently asked to leave the set. It is said she objected tearfully.

Silly Mr Pitt. He is gorgeous and by all accounts a lovely man but to risk a marriage for a quick flirt with the charismatic but notoriously single-minded Angelina is madness.

I suggest he'd better take his mid-life crisis goggles off and have another look at Mrs Pitt. She looks surprisingly like sexy funny successful Jennifer Aniston to me and won't he be sorry when she's out on the town with another more attentive hunk?
