'On the two shows I'm presenting at the moment, there's no room for glamour. On Channel 4's Scrapheap Challenge I wear a uniform, and ITV's The Block is filmed on a building site, so it's trousers and sensible shoes, I'm afraid. But I'll make up for it on the live final, which is going to be filmed on Brighton Beach - if I've got anything to do with it, I'll be glammed up in completely over the top evening wear or like a bridesmaid in a meringue.
For everyday though, I'm a jeans and clogs girl. As I'm only 5ft, I have to avoid wearing anything with a high waist. My legs are quite long - although nothing is very long when you're 5ft. I'm a massive fan of Warehouse, which does brilliant stuff for people who are short, and lots of their clothes have adjustable straps which is great.

I do love really dressing up for special occasions, but I don't spend a lot on clothes because I find it hard reconciling my conscience if I do. I'm lucky in that my work means I get a lot of free clothes - it's a real perk of the job. For instance, I'm allowed to keep the red, striped dress (bottom right) from Topshop I'm wearing for today's photo shoot. It's gorgeous.
However, I have blown loads of money in the past. I once bought a Versace evening dress for just under pounds 2,000. I still cannot believe I spent that much money, especially as an evening dress isn't something you can wear very often. I've also made a few fashion faux pas in my time. The worst was an orange leather jacket and trousers suit from Joseph. Worn separately they were OK, but together they made me look like a giant carrot.'
The Block is on ITV1, Tuesdays at 9pm. The live final is in September
