FOOTBALL: Brakes come off for Airbus

AIRBUS UK moved off the foot of the Welsh Premier League by sweeping aside fellow strugglers Caernarfon 3-0 yesterday.

Simon Andrews scored twice late on after James McIntosh had put them ahead.

Now LLANELLI are back on the bottom after losing 4-2 at TOTAL NETWORK SOLUTIONS.

TNS are still locked together with RHYL on the 55 points mark at the top.

Rhyl beat CAERSWS by 3-0 with two goals for Lee Hunt and one for Chris McGinn.

PORT TALBOT eased relegation worries with a 3-0 win over rejuvenated WELSHPOOL with goals from Lee John, Matthew Reece and Rhys Griffiths.

AFAN LIDO lost for the 15th time in 23 starts, going down 1-0 at NEWTOWN for whom Danny Barton scored.

Goals by Jason Welch and Jamie Edwards gave CWMBRAN a 2-1 victory over PORTHMADOG.
