VICE ONE, ANT

TV STAR Ant McPartlin will spend his wedding night in the scandal- hit cottage where prostitute Christine Keeler romped with disgraced Defence Minister John Profumo.

The multi-millionaire specially requested the infamous boudoir for him and new missus Lisa, 29, after hiring out swanky mansion hotel Cliveden for his pounds 150,000 wedding bash later this month.

The romantic retreat, called Spring Cottage, is a favourite for first-night honeymooners - but in the 1960s it was the focal point of Britain's biggest political scandal.

To guarantee there are no prying eyes, Ant, one half of comedy duo Ant and Dec, has forked out almost pounds 20,000 for exclusive use of the former stately home in Berkshire.

Nearly 200 friends and family are due to celebrate the couple's wedding on July 22.

But Ant, 30, who has vowed not to sell his wedding to a magazine because he wants a "classy affair", has left many famous pals off the guest list.

TV partner, Dec Donnelly, is best man and presenters Cat Deeley and Philip Schofield are thought to be the only other stars invited to the actual wedding, although others are expected for the evening do. A friend revealed the food and drinks bill alone will cost a more than pounds 20,000.

Guests will be greeted with rose champagne, before tucking into a feast of salmon and Aberdeen Angus beef, washed down with fine French wine in the hotel's gold-leaf-panelled 18th Century dining rooms.

After dinner there will be a fireworks display on the lawn.

Once in their Spring Cottage retreat, Ant and Lisa will have a butler on hand, and a chauffeur- driven Bentley on standby.

One friend said: "It's going to be an amazing do. Ant and Lisa want it just right. And it will be even more special as they get to spend the night in Spring Cottage. I'm sure they won't be creating any scandals though!"
