Rear View: DIESEL SCOOBY

0 Comments | Sunday Mirror, Aug 6, 2006

SUBARU has surprised the industry by pressing ahead with its own diesel engines. It was originally thought that Subaru would take one of the GM/Fiat line of diesel engines as the company had close ties to GM. It was also believed that it might use a Toyota diesel power- unit as Subaru traditionally had ties with them.

Now Subaru has announced that it has running prototypes of a 2 litre, four cylinder diesel engine and hopes to have them in the Legacy range for the 2008 model year.
