Sunday Mirror,  Mar 11, 2007

KIDDERMINSTER ensured they go into next weekend's second leg of the FA Carlsberg Trophy semi-final in a great position after goals from Gavin Hurren and James Constable gave them a 2-0 home win over NORTHWICH VICTORIA.

In the other tie, a strike from Brazilian Santos Gaia proved to be the difference as STEVENAGE BOROUGH came away with a 1-0 victory over GRAYS.

In the Nationwide Conference, OXFORD UNITED went down 2-0 at home to FOREST GREEN. Danny Bertram got both goals.

YORK are third after Craig Farrell and Emmanuel Panther netted in a 2-0 win at ALDERSHOT. EXETER were beaten 2-1 at HALIFAX, courtesy of strikes from Greg Strong and Danny Frost.

A Garry Thompson goal kept MORECAMBE'S promotion hopes alive as they beat CRAWLEY TOWN 1-0 and BURTON ALBION beat WOKING 2-1. John Brayford's goal sneaked victory after Woking's Craig McAllister had cancelled out Darren Stride's goal.

The clash of the bottom two ended predictably as ST ALBANS and SOUTHPORT played out a 2-2 draw.
