GERMAN Porsche tuner 9ff has spent the last two years tweaking a 911 it hopes will hit 254mph, making it 1mph faster than the iconic Bugatti Veyron. The GT9 has a twin-turbo 4.2 flat-six that pushes out a monster 950bhp, and will be formally speed-tested at the Nardo test track in Italy this autumn.

You can have one specially built for pounds 315,000, or half the price of the Veyron, although you might want to wait until the GT9 has been officially timed...
