GENERAL Motors OnStar GPS
0 Comments | Sunday Mirror, Oct 14, 2007 | by QUENTIN WILLSON
GENERAL Motors OnStar GPS tracking system to beat car thieves is to include a button you press if your car is stolen. Operators at OnStar tell the cops where the car is, and then the police tell OnStar that it's safe to shut down the car's accelerator. Brakes and steering are left unaffected, but the car is stopped dead in its tracks.
