DADS GET RAW DEAL

ANGRY single dads claim they're not getting their fair share of council houses - because they're MEN.

Luke Martin, head of Parental Equality, claims lone mothers are getting all the housing, forcing single fathers out into the cold and even making them homeless.

He said: "An increasing number of separated fathers are coming to us because they have left the family home after a relationship break- up.

"Often these men find themselves living with their parents or siblings and are finding it very difficult to get housing from the council."

But Dundalk council boss Jim Byrne said the council DOES give houses to single dads. He said: "I wouldn't accept that we are dealing with men differently."
