CARL 'Ingo' Johanneson fired a warning to his British super- featherweight rivals by stopping Michael Gomez in the sixth round of a savage brawl in Doncaster.

The British champion is now due to defend against mandatory challenger Kevin Mitchell, the unbeaten Londoner guided by top promoter Frank Warren.

But Johanneson's promoter Frank Maloney claimed: "After watching Carl's performance, Kevin might not be interested."
