Thank goodness gardai have stopped the cruel and illegal bird market on Peter Street.

Some may whinge and moan, claiming gardai have turned a blind eye before, but the law must be upheld - and that's just a fact.

Even worse, cruelly trapping wild and endangered birds who, more often than not, would go on to die in captivity, pushing their species even closer to extinction is deplorable. I, for one, hope gardai throw the book at anyone guilty of eco-terrorism.
