Horse Racing: THREE AND EASY FOR AL

0 Comments | Sunday Mirror, Apr 6, 2008

THREE UP for Al Eile was the order in the Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Hurdle as Aintree's standing dish went in again at 11-4.

That made it three race wins in four years for John Queally's horse, who has set up such a fine partnership with Timmy Murphy. Queally said:

"Everything was right going into the race and he just loves this place."

Tidal Bay bucked the week's trend to land the Maghull Chase for Denis O'Regan.

A string of Cheltenham winners had found the follow-up attempt on Merseyside all too much, but while Tidal Bay looked in a bit of bother early in the straight, he found an extra gear between the last two fences.
