Weir is no Fergie fan
Sunday Mirror, May 4, 2008 by IAN BROADLEY
WING king Peter Weir claims Alex Ferguson bullied Aberdeen into becoming champions of Europe.
The Pittodrie club this week celebrate the 25th anniversary of their Cup-Winners' Cup triumph over Real Madrid.
And Weir, who played a key role in that Gothenburg win, admitted some of the Dons detested the way Fergie turned them into legends.
"He ruled with an iron fist," Weir insisted.
"I still remember all the arguments with Fergie - but at least I'm still on talking terms with him.
"But 25 years is a long time and much has changed, including Fergie.
"You have to give him 10 out of 10 whether you liked or loathed his methods."
