Binge for just pounds 5.95

Sunday Mirror,  May 11, 2008

A FOOD chain came under fire yesterday for giving people the chance to binge-eat for just pounds 5.95.

Experts claim the new restaurant chain will encourage people to overeat at a buffet featuring roast meat, pizza, Chinese meals, pasta, chips and puddings.

Whitbread has opened its first US-style Taybarns eatery in Swansea - and plans many more. A spokesman said: "It's about offering a choice for a balanced meal." But the British Dietetics Association said: "If people bingeeat, it is not healthy."
