VOLKSWAGEN plan to give the new Scirocco sports-coupe its track debut before the car even goes on sale.

Three factory developed coupes will take part in the gruelling 24- hour event at the Nurburgring.

The race is a big deal for Volkswagen; not only Hans Stuck and Carlos Sainz been drafted in to be driver's but the race is broadcast live on German TV for at least 12 hours and 200,000 people will watch 220 cars take part.
