THE STORY: Retired military man Hank Deerfield (Tommy Lee Jones) investigates the strange disappearance of his soldier son, recently returned from duty in Iraq. He is joined by a civilian homicide cop (Charlize Theron) and the pair uncover a suspicious cover-up by the army.

THE VERDICT: A powerful and oddly underrated drama that is packed with fine performances. Well worth catching
