Sunday Mirror,  Jul 6, 2008

A ROAD-rage attacker smashed a car door - only to find out his victim was an off-duty policeman.

William Scudder, 40, admitted losing his temper after PC Nathan Langley gestured at his wife, who drove out in front of him outside her home.

As the officer stopped at nearby traffic lights in Battle, East Sussex, Scudder kicked his car causing pounds 1,000 damage.

At Lewes crown court, he was given a 10-month suspended jail, told to pay pounds 1,500 compensation and ordered to do 200 hours of community service.
