MACCLESFIELD 1 EXETER 4

ADAM STANSFIELD netted twice as Macclesfield's run of straight wins came to a dramatic halt.

The 30-year-old striker took just 46 seconds to open the scoring with a right-footed effort from six yards out.

Despite pressure from Macclesfield, it was Paul Tisdale's men who were next on the scoresheet as Ryan Harley fired home to double the Grecians advantage after 34 minutes.

But just before half-time, the Silkmen were handed a lifeline as Simon Yeo sent a left-footed effort past Paul Jones.

However, Exeter restored their twogoal advantage as Stansfield added his second. Rampant Exeter managed a fourth through Matthew Gill.
