Trevor Hemmings

BLACKPOOL Tower boss Trevor Hemmings loves nothing better than winning at his local tracks and Cloudy Lane and Coe carried his silks to a 55-1 chasing double at Haydock.

Cloudy Lane had to dig deep to hold another Hemmings horse, Glasker Mill.

"He just loves it round here and even though he had a big weight I was sure he'd go well as he's been in great form," said Donald McCain, who doubled up later with Will Be Done.

Coe had been struggling to hit top form as a chaser, but the step up to nearly three-and-a - half miles proved ideal and this looks a Hemmings Grand National hope of the future.

Sally Alner's luck was right out until Vodka Brook went in at Wincanton.

But she didn't have to wait long for the next winner, with Miss Mitch following up at Ascot later.
