Your motoring: Star spangled Bangle quits BMW..

THE American car designer Chris Bangle, one of the most influential designers in recent automotive history, has announced that he is to leave his post as Chief of Design for the BMW Group. No details of where he is going are forthcoming but he has confirmed that he is leaving the motor industry.

Throughout his career with the BMW Group Bangle's right-hand man has been Adrian van Hooydonk, who is now set to become his successor. He described van Hooydonk as "truly a top professional in our business."
