Matalan killing: 2 in court

TWO men have been charged with murdering a store manager stabbed to death a year ago.

Two other men have also been charged in connection with the raid.

Jamie Simpson, 33, was stabbed in the neck as he cashed up at Matalan's branch in Hackney, East London.

Duane Owusu, 19, of no fixed abode, was last night charged with murder.

And Anthony Maina, 19, will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court in East London tomorrow accused of murder and conspiracy to rob.

Simeon Jumah, 24, and Roy Williams, 30, were earlier charged with conspiracy to rob.

They were remanded in custody at Highbury Magistrates' Court, North London. The case was adjourned to the Old Bailey on June 12.

A 17-year-old was still being questioned yesterday. Seven other people arrested have been released on bail.
