Mercedes Sales In India Expected At Less Than 2,000

Affected by the slump in the auto industry, luxury car maker Daimler Chrysler India expects sales of Mercedes Benz passenger vehicles at less than 2,000 units this fiscal.
Though the luxury car segment had been experiencing much high growth rates as compared to the rest Sales of luxury car 'C' segment has not been good this fiscal (compared to 1,000 units sold last year) while 'S' class have dipped and are as per the plans chalked out.
Daimler presently has 12 dealers in the country and does not intend to increase it but instead have service points to strengthen the network. - (EMEconomy.com)
