Belgian investment in infrastructure projects

India's SREI International Finance Limited, has got from strategic investment to be utilized in infrastructure development in the country.
In the initial phase, BIO, a Belgian investment company, has earmarked Rs 25 crore to be invested in infrastructure sector through its strategic partner, SREI.
SREI, the leading infrastructure finance and infrastructure project finance company in India, registered 19.83% growth in the profit before tax for the first half-year period ended on September 30, 2002 (32.98% in the second quarter).
SREI has maintained its robust financial performance during the period under review, posting a rise in the profit before tax to Rs. 8.38 crores from Rs. 6.99 crores in the corresponding period last year. (Emeconomy.com)
