India awards new contract to operate container terminal at

Dubai Ports International (DPI) has been awarded a 30-year contract to operate and manage the new container terminal at Visakhapatnam. The terminal is projected to become operational in the first quarter of next year.
Visakha Container Terminal Private Ltd. (VCTPL) represents the third port development agreement in DPI's portfolio. VCTPL will get 45-meter berth in the outer harbor on a 30-year lease, in a bid to develop a new container terminal.
VCTPL is planned to install state of the art equipment to serve customers at an international level, press reports said. (Emeconomy.com)
