Emerging Markets Economy, Apr 8, 2003

With less than two years in the Mexican market, Hyundai's car model Atos , commercialized in Mexico by Chrysler's Dodge, has conquered the preference of the public in the sector of subcompact vehicles.

Proof of it is that in less than two years they have sold more than 40,000 units. The Atos has received very good commentaries from the specialized magazines. The magazine " 4 Wheels " made a survey with Atos owners of which 98% answered that they have not had any mechanical problems with their unit whereas 88% are willing to buy another one. On the other hand the magazine "Pan-American Automobile", after a test of fuel consumption said "The best car in total consumption average is the Atos by Dodge with 20.08 kilometers per liter".

According to El Universal, the subcompact of Hyundai enters the competition to replace the Volkswagen sedan as Taxis for Mexico City by being of 4 doors, by its affordable cost its low cost maintenance service and by its high performance in fuel consumption. - (EMEconomy.com)
