Veuve Cliquot to Close its India Operations

Veuve Cliquot, the champagne and wine arm of LVMH group, the French lifestyle products company, has announced that it has decided to close its India operations this month.
Veuve Cliquot has transferred Bruno Yvan, the national brand manager who was heading the company's India operations, to Hong Kong, according to the Economic Times.
With the decision to close its operations in India, Veuve Cliquot will close down its Mumbai office. However, the company's products will continue to be marketed in India by its sister company Moet- Hennessy India, a 100% subsidiary of Jas Hennessy and Moet and Chandone. Moet Hennessy India will also employ Veuve Cliquot's staff in India. -(EMEconomy.com)
