China has released a new regulation for Chinese tourists traveling abroad. This new measure takes effect on July 1st 2002.

The 33-article regulation stipulates that foreign tourism destination countries should be decided by China's tourism authorities with the approval of China's cabinet, according to China Daily. The new regulation stipulates that organizations and individuals are not allowed to organize visits for Chinese tourists to foreign countries that are not listed by the State Council's tourism authority as destination countries.

Until now 20 destination countries have been listed by China, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt and Turkey. -(EMEconomy.com)
