BOC India re-opens Liquid Compressor Station facility

BOC India LTD, a subsidiary of BOC Group PLC of UK has re-opened its plant at Asansol after a gap of five years.

Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director of BOC India Sanjiv Lamba, said the Asansol unit would be a modern Liquid Compressor Station (LCS) facility which will bring pure gas from its facility at Jamshedpur, PTI reported

According to Lamba, pure gas will be liquified in cylinders and then distributed to industries, hospitals and medical clinics in and around this region.

He said initially the Asansol unit will sell 50,000 cubic metres of industrial gas every month which will be gradually increased to one-lakh cubic metres.
